STOCK MARKET UPDATES : 13/08/2020

• Tata Steel reported net loss of Rs 4648.13 crore in June Quarter of F.Y. 2021.
• Rupee went rather flat, down by just 1 paisa, at a provisional 74.83 against the US dollar with intraday high of 74.92 and low of 74.78.
• eClerx Services shares went up intraday by 20%, with the consolidated net profit at Rs 51.77 crore in Q1, FY2021.
• Aurobindo Pharma shares decline 3% , after announcement of the company’s net YOY rise in profit, by 22.8%.
• Grasim Industries Ltd reported a loss of 66.61% in consolidated net profit of Rs 620 .74 crore, due to impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
• GAIL India Ltd. announced a loss of 80% in June Quarter 1 with net profit of Rs. 255.51 crore, due to loss of supply chain in market.
• Bharat Petroleum Corporation(BPCL) announced net profit of Rs 2076 crore on account of operating income.
• Power Finance Corporation (PFC) announced 23% rise up in income of net profit of Rs 3,557.23 corers in Q1 June.
• Eicher Motors reported net loss of Rs.55.2 crore in Q1 , June 2020.
• Hospitality major behind Oberoi and Trident brands , EIH Limited , reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 152.06 crore for Q1, June 2020.
• Hero Motocorp announced net loss of Rs 61.31 crore by 95.12 % out of the profit.
• Media House DB Corp reported net loss Rs. 48.04 crore, due to impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
• Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL) announced a net loss of Rs 410.36 crore for Q1 , June 2020.
• Almost 51 stocks touched their 52-week highs on NSE, including companies such as Jubilant Industries, Majesco, Balaxi Ventures to name a few.
• S&P BSE Sensex went down by 59 points or 0.15% , at 38,310.49 . NSE’s Nifty ended at 11,300.45, declining by 8 points or 0.07%.
• The RBI imposed a total penalty of Rs 10 lakh on four cooperative banks ,due to non compliance with the norms.

• City Union Bank announced a 17 % fall in net profit @ Rs 154.04 crore for Q1, June 2020.
• 55, 34,527 shares of Interglobe Aviation sold by Kotak Mahindra International  atRs.1,028 to Jwalamukhi Investment Holdings.
• 60,000 shares of Hindon Chemicals sold at Rs 17.64 by Santosh Tibrewalla HUF , and 52,000 shares bought by Sanjay Goenka at Rs 18.15 per share.
